The Story

Co-operative Insurance Companies (Co-op) has been meeting P&C insurance needs since 1915, offering farm, home, auto, business, and other insurance to people in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Owned by its members, Co-op has a reputation for providing fast and fair claims service, farm safety programs, and outstanding customer service. To continue to deliver on its promise, Co-op modernized its technology platform with an all-in-one cloud-based solution: Guidewire InsuranceNow. The system’s integrated design, out-of-the-box functionality, and guided approach enables fast implementation and quick upgrades.

Co-op moved its Business Owners Policy (BOP) line of business in Vermont and New Hampshire into production on the new system first, followed by its other Commercial lines of business, and then its Personal lines.

The new system will enhance operational efficiency and productivity throughout the organization by standardizing policy administration, billing management, and claims-handling processes on a cohesive technology platform.

By leveraging Guidewire Cloud Production Services, Co-op enjoys a reduction in maintenance costs, along with increased speed-to-market and business agility.
