SSQ General Insurance Company (SSQ), a Quebec direct insurer, to group members as well as to the general public, and Guidewire Software®, a leading provider of flexible core systems to property/casualty (general) insurers, today announced that SSQ has selected the Guidewire InsuranceSuite as its new policy administration, billing and claims platform for its lines of personal business. Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter) will be deployed to provide a foundation on which SSQ can build and support its fast growing business.
SSQ, a 150 M$ direct written premium company offering auto, home and commercial coverage to 147,000 policy holders, has achieved a double digit growth over the last few years. In order to support its business, SSQ has three major objectives: prioritizing growth, improving profitability and developing new markets. These objectives require core system flexibility and scalability. SSQ wanted its new systems to be web-based, intuitive and to include workflow management and best practices tools to support its staff in attending customers.
