Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE: GWRE), a provider of software products to Property/Casualty (P/C) insurers, today announced SAIF Corporation, Oregon’s not-for-profit, state-chartered workers’ compensation insurance company, will be implementing Guidewire software. Specifically, SAIF has selected Guidewire PolicyCenter® as its new underwriting, rating, and policy administration system and Guidewire BillingCenter® to manage its billing operations, including agency and commissions.
SAIF selected PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to replace the company’s internally-developed policy administration and billing management systems. The company also selected Guidewire Rating Management™, Client Data Management, and Business Intelligence for InsuranceSuite. SAIF will be converting its policyholders to the new systems at renewal.
“We were attracted by Guidewire’s product maturity and the company’s long-term commitment to its products,” said Ken Collins, chief information officer, SAIF. “We look forward to the enhancements PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will bring to our business.”
PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will enable SAIF to:
Communicate more effectively with agents and policyholders;
Bring new products and product enhancements to market more quickly; and
Improve operational efficiencies and reduce overall costs by standardizing on a modern software technology platform.
“The top focus of our business is to make sure Oregon is the safest, healthiest state it can be. That is what we do,” said Bruce Hoffman, vice president, Underwriting Services, SAIF. “Leveraging PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will enable us to focus on our core mission, freeing us from having to maintain a fleet of custom systems.”
“We welcome SAIF to the Guidewire customer family as a PolicyCenter and BillingCenter customer,” said Ken Shapiro, group vice president, Americas Sales, Guidewire Software. “We look forward to helping them deliver on their business objectives with their customers.”
