Promutuel Insurance Selects Guidewire Solution for Data Management

Promutuel Insurance, one of Quebec’s largest Property and Casualty (P&C) insurers, and Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE: GWRE), a provider of software products to P&C insurers, today announced that Promutuel Insurance has selected Guidewire DataHub™ to support its enterprise-wide data management strategy. Guidewire PartnerConnect™ Consulting Advantage member, V-NEO, is leading the implementation project, with Guidewire working in close collaboration.

Promutuel selected DataHub for more efficient data extraction and translation, conformant data consolidation, and publication to downstream systems. Promutuel is planning to first integrate its policy data into DataHub and followed by claims, starting with its personal lines of business, then moving on to its commercial lines of business, with the goal of full deployment across its 17 member mutuals by 2018.

DataHub will enable Promutuel to:

• More quickly deliver mission-critical data to users;

• Better map and convert data into its new core systems; and

• Provide a single view of data to users across the organization, including claims and underwriting.

In an earlier project, Promutuel Insurance successfully deployed Guidewire PolicyCenter®, Rating Management, and Reinsurance Management as its platform for underwriting, rating, reinsurance, and policy administration. The company was looking for a system to help increase its operational efficiencies and continue its ongoing business transformation initiative, building on its successful 2012 deployment of Guidewire ClaimCenter®. PolicyCenter was successfully deployed to Promutuel Insurance’s commercial and farm lines of business, and is currently being implemented to its personal and surety lines of business, with the goal of full deployment in 2018.
